Our First Entry

Added January 8

This writing was inspired by the Holy Spirit after listening to Jesse Duplantis teach on your loved ones being in your future:

Your loved ones are in your future. You will see them again. Their departure from this world is most assuredly not their end. Your loved ones are not in your past if they have given their heart to Christ. They are in heaven with God the Father enjoying eternal life. Although their passing has caused you tremendous heartache and pain, know that the God of comfort is your peace in Jesus name. Don't let go of your faith. Years of grieving will only bring you down. Continuing in depression or blaming the Lord will trap you and keep you bound. Your loved ones are no longer with you and living without them has been hard. But oh what a glorious blessing when you know they're in the presence of the Lord!

John 11:25; II Corinthians 5:8

Our Second Entry

Added January 21st

When you feel like you're all alone, know that you're never alone. The Lord is always with you; in your heart you have always known. Take the time to praise Him, even when it seems He's silent. Refuse to allow the cares of this life to cause you to become defiant. When you worship the Lord the enemy is stilled. In the midst of it all you will rise up healed. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Don't turn to the right or to the left. You need the Lord to guide you. You can not make it by yourself. Be aware of the enemy's tactics - you must always recognize the signs. Resist the temptation to give in, to the attacks against your mind. Seek the Heavenly Father daily. Be sensitive to His voice. Give thanks for His goodness and mercy. With gratefulness lift your hands and rejoice. If you have never had a family, If you have never had a friend, then come to the Lord, He loves you. He is waiting to welcome you in.

  Isaiah 43:2 NLT:

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will  not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

Our Third Entry

Rebellious children are not always the product of a broken home filled with violence, drinking, and fighting.  Some come from homes where a parent or parents are physically present, but mentally and emotionally absent. Some come from homes where it's all scolding with no love and guidance. Some come from homes where parents have standards so high that the young person can't meet their expectations, causing them to break under the pressure. Some come from homes that are too strict or overprotective. In these homes, the young person is not allowed to make healthy decisions, based on the Word of God with parental guidance. Therefore, they never learn how to make decisions and own the consequences that come with every decision. Some come from homes where parents live opposite of what the bible teaches.

Young people's inner struggle with acceptance, feelings of worthlessness, and low self-esteem cause them to become more vulnerable to negative influences, especially when they don't have a personal relationship with Jesus or healthy connections with parents - I Corinthians 15:33 says Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character" (NIV).  However, young people have the responsibility to choose not to be rebellious. Rebellion is a condition of the heart that is against God not just your parents or an adult. Rebellion is never the answer. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry - I Samuel 15:3 (NKJV). The only time obedience is not required is when it is against God and His Word such as a parent or any other adult wanting you to lie, cheat, steal, blame others for something you did, to abuse others, or a parent or an adult abusing you in some way, etc. It says in Ephesians 6:1-3 - "Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth" (NKJV). There are healthy respectful ways to communicate, stand up for what is right, and seek help when needed. Sometimes there are things that you really want to do and a parent or an adult says no, even after you talked to them about it. Just pray about it and let Jesus change their heart or yours depending on what God's will is.

A rebellious child, it is so hard to deal, they think you don't understand how they really feel. They have all the answers; you don't have a clue. They know all about life; Their way will see them through. You tell them you have passed that way before, disobedient and headstrong, they refuse to hear anymore. A rebellious child, so heartbreaking in the end. If they don't turn it around, they will reap the whirlwind. A rebellious child allows hate to arise. They have fallen into the trap of deception and lies. A rebellious child listens to a strange voice, misled and confused, they have made the wrong choice. They have forgotten the valuable lessons taught them as a child. They have yielded themselves to a wayward and promiscuous lifestyle. Roaming through the streets, searching for a good time, their eyes are bloodshot from much sipping on the wine. A rebellious child refuses to go home. Isolated and depressed, they feel so all alone. They talk back to their parents; they make excuses for their life. They seek out opportunities to complain or start a fight. They don't pay attention; they are bored and grievously sad. They long to be in a family with a different mom and dad. A rebellious child is agitated and tormented everyday. They desperately need some guidance to help them find their way. In spite of all the challenges, you love them anyway. You pray God will protect them each and everyday. Their ways have brought frustration; their words have brought much pain, but you never stop believing for their deliverance in Jesus name. Although the road to recovery has been shaky and extremely hard, you know without a doubt, your child is coming to the Lord.

Dear God, I humble myself before you. I confess my sin. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you Lord. I know you always hear me. I see where I've been going the wrong way. Doing things my way. I've been putting my faith and trust in everyone and everything but you. Please forgive me. In the name of Jesus I return to you. I rededicate my life to you. I pray for your guidance. Help me to focus my attention on you and on your word. Help me to always seek you for clear direction in Jesus name. Thank you Lord for loving me and forgiving me. I surrender my will to you. I give you full control over my life in Jesus name Amen.

Our Fourth Entry

Added April 9th

The Lord laid it on my heart to share with those who truly desire the gift of speaking in tongues and with those who have been confused about it. Remember, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). It grieves the Holy Spirit when individuals preach and teach against this gift.

If you have given your life to Jesus, you are saved--even if you never speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit is in you; He now wants to come upon you. Luke 24:49 says, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you: but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high” (NKJV). Act 1:8a says, “but you shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth”. Too many of God’s people do not speak in tongues. Some have been taught that speaking in tongues is of the devil. It has passed away with the early church or with the Apostles and is not for today. For this reason, it is imperative for you to search the scriptures and study them for yourself. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (KJV). Why would you take the word of a person who does not speak in tongues nor believes in it and who takes the scripture out of context to explain it away? For instance: Would you ask a broke person how to build wealth? Would you ask a person who has never had a business how to run a successful business?

Without the power of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, how can you build yourself up according to Jude 1:20? How can you pray without ceasing according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17? There are situations occurring in our relationships with others including family, friends, our nation, and those who have not received Jesus. Many times, these situations require more than just praying with our understanding because we don’t have complete knowledge concerning them, but the Holy Spirit does. Romans 8:26 says “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can not be uttered (NKJV)”. 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 says, “for if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful; What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding (NKJV)”. Verse 13 of the same chapter says, “therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret”. This verse is referring to the edifying of the church.

Why would you refuse to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Why Would you

continue to hold back. Do you even know why you fear it? Why would you

say speaking in tongues is a gift just for some?

The Holy Spirit: The Missing Ingredient

Apostle Fredrick K C Price accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord. Still, there was something missing in his life, and he wasn’t sure what it was. His search to find that missing ingredient led him to the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Will you trust me in those times, when in the natural, you can not see? Will you trust Me although you question, if where you are is where I want you to be? Will you trust Me in the silent years when it seems like I’m not even there? Will you believe Me when I say to you, on Me you can cast your care? Will you trust Me through the depression? Will you trust Me in spite of the pain? Will you trust Me to heal your broken life, through the power of My name? Will you trust Me to deliver and raise you up? Will you see yourself through My eyes? Today, will you make a quality decision not to listen to the devils lies? Will you declare My grace and glory and share your redemption story?

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Excerpt from book A Heart to Live in Troubled Times

The world's definition of beauty is primarily based on outward appearances - what you wear, what you drive, where you live, and who you know. There's absolutely nothing wrong with looking your best and having material possessions, but they should never take the place of a kind, loving, and compassionate heart. Our desire in life as Christians should always be to love and become more like Jesus. We must not allow ourselves to fall into the trap of what is pleasing to the eye to take preference over the hidden man of the heart. (1 Peter 3:4). As I thought on this, the Lord revealed to me His definition of true beauty:

Beauty is an attribute rooted deep within the heart. It is finding the courage to pick up the pieces of a life that has been torn apart. Beauty is an inner strength filled with love and compassion. It is not in luxurious homes and cars; nor is it in the latest fashion. Beauty is in the quality, not the quantity of life. It is living every moment as if it were your last. It is trusting the Father to heal the wounds of a painful and broken past. Beauty is encouraging; it is uplifting and willing to pray. It is using your life to bring the light to those who have lost their way. Beauty is not in the wrinkles or the smoothness of the skin. It is a commitment to honor and bless the Lord and to receive Him as comforter and friend. Beauty is neither in the length and color, nor is it in the texture of the hair. It is reaching the oppressed and the lonely with tenderness and Godly care. Beauty is a heartfelt desire to fulfill God’s will and plan. It is enduring hardships like a good soldier and knowing that in Christ you can. Beauty is sharing the love of God with children throughout the world. Wonderfully and fearfully made are these precious little boys and girls. It is helping the little ones to understand that in Christ lies their true value and worth. It is knowing God’s grace has rested upon them, even before their birth. Beauty is in the high praises and the worship of our Lord. It is giving Him glory and honor, even when life seems empty and hard. Beauty is having the willingness to forgive a cruel and senseless offense. It is reaching out with a loving touch, when in the natural it makes no sense. Beauty is having the boldness to get up and begin again. It is taking hold of the promises of God, and knowing deliverance and victory is in Him. Beauty is a firm, unshakable foundation built on our Lord and Christ. It is happiness, peace, joy, and hope, and in the end, eternal life.

Our Eighth Entry

Excerpt from book A Heart to Live in Troubled Times:

When our loved ones die in the Lord, they are in the presence of God. It takes time to work through the pain, but the Lord will help you through the grieving process. I believe our loved ones are saying "carry on", "don't blame yourself or the Lord", "we will meet again someday". (2 Corinthians 5:7,8)

Don’t cry for me anymore. We’ll meet again someday. I’m at rest, in the presence of my Lord and Savior. Now I am okay. Don’t spend the remainder of your life bound by grief and sorrow. Keep hope alive. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Don’t let go of your dreams. You must learn to laugh again. Focus in on the good days ahead. Don’t let the sadness come in. Call to remembrance the happy times and the quiet moments we shared. The morning walks, those intimate talks. I was blessed by your presence there. Hold on to the memories. Please don’t let them die. Keep yourself in the love of God, or your life will pass you by. I know my presence has been missed and the struggle to go on has been hard. But please don’t waste one moment of your time being angry with yourself or the Lord. If you turn your back on the Father above, we will never see each other again. So even when you don’t understand, keep on living for Him. Until we meet in heaven, please, continue in the race. And together we will stand in the presence of God, beholding Him face to face.

Your Loved One

Our Ninth Entry

Added June 18th

Micah 6:8 (NIV) - He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Ephesians 6:4 (Amp) - Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by showing favoritism or indifference to any of them], but bring them up [tenderly, with lovingkindness] in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Striving to know and walk with God describes a true man and father. His mind is focused on Jesus in spite of storms and troubled waters. He is a partaker of God’s promise. By faith he knows how to stand. He is a world overcomer. He is a covenant man. He oversees his family. He is the head of his Christ centered home. With compassion, patience, and Godly confidence, he knows how to take care of his own. He will not allow the cares of this life, to hinder him from doing what he knows is right. He trusts the Holy Spirit to fill his mouth with the words he would have him to say. His desire is to honor and magnify the Lord, and to please Him in every way. To know God’s will and purpose is an important part of his life. He searches the scriptures daily because his desire is to be more like Christ. He walks in the spirit and after the flesh. He knows that through Christ he can withstand any trial or test. With every challenge and every obstacle, he will endure until the end; because he sees that great and glorious day, when he will live forever in the presence of Him.

Our Tenth Entry

Added July 1st

The sickness, the disease, and the devastation that you see, it hurts our Heavenly Father who gave His only Son to set you free. The arrogance, the wickedness, the rebellion and the pride, it hurts our Heavenly Father when His word you blatantly defy. The darkness, the iniquity, that you allow in your life, there is nothing God can do, when you’re living contrary to the ways of Christ. The lying, the cheating, and your trust in the world and man, without the Lord there is no way, for you to be able to stand. The conflict, the hatred, the anger and the strife, the Lord will turn it around if you submit to His will for your life. Turning a deaf ear and closing your heart, God’s favor and provision, you will never have a part. The resentment and the fear will never depart. The blame, the shame, and taking your rage out on the Lord; when you know it’s your stubbornness and sin that brought you to where you are. The trouble, the struggles, you say God just does not care. Through every problem you’ve ever faced, His hand of mercy has always been there. The drug addicts and the homeless, God sees them all. Many refuse to answer although the Lord continues to call. The poverty, the hunger, the pain and the lack, Jesus took care of it all with the lashes He bore on His back. The depression, the hopelessness and the sadness that you feel, Jesus paid the price, for you to be delivered and healed. Confusion and prejudice, He nailed it to the cross; because He didn’t want you to die in your sin; forever separated from God and eternally lost.

Ezekial 18:32:

For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone,

Take a closer look, at the person you plan to marry. The baggage in their life might be too much for you to carry. Do you know what kind of life they lead? Do you even know who they are? Are you equally yoked according to God’s word? Does this person even know the Lord? Do you know what they are or where they’ve been? Do you know their associates or their friends? Do you really know what’s behind the laughter and the smile? Are you sure they’re not making plans to control you all the while? Do they have a genuine relationship with Jesus the Christ? Do you know what secret sins are hidden in their life? Are they arrogant, are they insensitive, are they rude and at times unkind? Do you know if they have a criminal record; or if they’ve been convicted of a serious crime? Do you recognize Godly character? Do you know if their heart is right? You can begin by asking questions. Whatever is in the dark, God will bring to the light. Do you know if they are honest? Do you really listen to what they are saying? Are they willing to go with you before the Lord, or do they shy away from praying? Have they told you they are a Christian; but their fruit says it’s a lie. When confronted do they give you a flaky explanation, followed by a nervous chuckle and a sigh. Do they consistently make excuses for not attending church? Do you notice a lack of commitment? Do they really put God first? Have you observed their interaction with their sisters and their brothers? How do they respond to their nieces, nephews, and their mother? Do they handle your children with love and respect; or will they be prone to abusive behavior every opportunity that they get? Do they love our Heavenly Father? Are they truly committed to Him? Or is it pretense and deception? Maybe for them that’s how it’s always been. Did you pray about this person? By Godly wisdom and understanding were you led? Did you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you, if this is the one the Lord has chosen for you to wed.

Amos 3:3; II Corinthians 6:14-17

Our Eleventh Entry

Added August 18th

You are worried and so afraid until you can not speak. You’re overwhelmed with so much anxiety until you can not sleep. You’re afraid a tornado will come and sweep you away. You’re afraid a hurricane or an earthquake will take you out someday. You’re afraid if you go swimming, you’ll drown in the lake. You’re afraid the Lord won’t love you if you make a mistake. You’re afraid of sudden movements. You’re afraid of every sound. Your fear has made you paranoid and your night terrors have kept you bound. You’re afraid of famine. You’re afraid you can’t pay your bills. The stress of it all has oppressed and made you ill. You’re afraid to face the landowner. You’re afraid to answer the door. You’re afraid he doesn’t want to hear what you have to say anymore. You’re afraid of being laid off. You’re afraid you’ll be let go. It is your words and negative reactions that’s causing your fear to grow. You’re afraid your business, which ranks high in sales, will lose its credibility and ultimately fail. You’re afraid of terroists. You’re afraid they may strike. You’re afraid our country’s not strong enough to stand up and fight. You’re afraid your spouse will cheat on you. You’re afraid your children will wind up running away too. You’re afraid that you’ll one day pick up the phone and your child will announce, they are never coming home. You’re afraid your husband or wife will one day walk out. Be careful not to be trapped by the words of your own mouth. You’re afraid there’s no heaven. You’re not sure if there’s a hell. You question the word of God and the prophetic message it foretells. Search the scriptures. Hear the Lord’s heart. Don’t be left behind when the people of God depart. You see the worldwide destruction. The warning signs are there. Jesus is coming soon. Please believe and be aware. You rejecting the Lord will seal your fate. Give your life to Him before it is too late. You’re afraid of thunder. You’re afraid of the dark. End the cycle of fear by asking Jesus to live in your heart.

Proverbs 3:25

Our Twelfth Entry

Added September 11th

Life and its many challenges has caused you to be overwhelmed and hurt. You have allowed the devil to convince you that being a Christian just does not work. Because your dreams and desires haven’t always gone your way; you have rebelled against God and refused to pray, when you know it’s because of Him, you are alive today. You have made a decision to depart from the faith. You say you’re feed up with the stress of constantly having to wait. You have walked away from the truth of God’s word, only to believe a lie. In the end, you’ll wind up lost, without Christ. Do you believe you can truly survive without Jesus in your life? The Lord knows the enemy’s attacks, have been traumatic and extremely severe; until even when He is speaking, at times His voice you could not hear. You are angry and bitter. You say God is to blame. But in those times of success, did you remember to bless His name? Have you so soon forgotten the teachings and the life lessons our Savior taught? Perhaps your relationship with Him was not as solid as you thought. The Lord has clearly warned you that perilous times would come. Will you be the one that draws the lost away from God’s risen Son? You’ve allowed the cares of this life to separate you from the God of mercy and love? Remember, it is the Lord who redeemed your life by the shedding of His blood. Jesus suffered just like you; but He knew dying on the cross is what He had to do, because of His unconditional love for you. Do you think He doesn’t understand what you are going through? Why turn your back on the One who gave His life for you? Return to the Lord and He will heal your pain. The devil is out to destroy you. You must resist Him in Jesus name. Return to the Lord. He has not left you. Allow His grace and glory to restore what’s been broken in you.

Our Thirteenth Entry

Added November 6th

God’s people are literally hurting one another. Through slander and strife, we have wounded our brothers. Contention and bitterness is in our midst. Satan and demons, we have neglected to resist. Because of wrong living, we’ve caused many to fall. What a serious indictment against us all. Because of division and tradition, the Body of Christ is in a dangerous position. Because we have refused to do it God’s way, many precious people are hellbound today. Because of the agape love that we refuse to walk in, many will never recover; they’ll be lost in their sin. Because we refuse to walk like Jesus, hypocrites and liars is how the world really sees us. Because we insist on having our own way, many are in a backslidden position today. Because of an unwillingness to let go of pride, the reality of Jesus Christ, many will deny. Because we refuse to let our light shine, salvation and eternal life some may never find. We must purpose in our heart, to minster life. Let’s lead the lost into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let’s rescue the ones bound for hell. By the power of the Holy Spirit, Body of Christ, we must not fail.
